Tonight, on Public Eye Radio, we'll be chatting with former Pacific Public Affairs Ltd. lobbyist Gerry Kristianson about the past and present state of the government relations business in British Columbia. New Democrat MLA Leonard Krog, Attorney General Wally Oppal's critic, joins us to give his take on what should be done to regulate lobbying. And The Tyee's Barb McLintock is coming in to review what's will happen Monday morning when the courts release more documentation connected with the police raid on the legislature. Later in the show, Simon Fraser University political science professor John Calvert will give his take on BC Hydro Corp.'s recently-released integrated energy plan. And we'll be chatting about the Coqutilam First controversy with Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 561 president Dave Ginter. You can listen to Public Eye Radio outside of Victoria by logging into CFAX 1070 between 6:00 and 9:00. I have a question for the Coquitlam First scandal part of your show.
Does Minister Chong's reluctance to launch an investigation into Coquitlam First's fianances and their use of a loop hole to hide their donations have anything to do with the following:
-That Coquitlam First Campaign Manager Dave Texiera is the Constituency Assistant to Liberal MLA Harry Bloy
-That Coquitlam First's mayoralty candidate Jon Kingsbury's wife Linda is the constituency Assistant to Liberal MLA Iain Black
-That Coquitlam First organizer Brian Bonney is employed as staff by the BC Liberal party
-That Coquitlam First council candidate Richard Stewart is a former Liberal MLA.
I wonder if the Minister isn't just covering up for Liberal friends and insiders.
Bonney is a paid BC Liberal staffer. That is a fact.
Casino? Casino?!!
This Ginter guy has no clue.
I've got a message for all you:
Keep digging.
Ginter has no clue. This is so much bigger than he realizes it's not even funny.
All you Dippers that is.
Ah yes...but to an NDP'er, gambling and casinos (ie bingogate) is as far as they go in terms of corruption.
Keep digging Sean; you're about to discover something of equal or greater magnitutde.
The BC Liberals (along with the Fed Libs) are probably the most corrupt group of pr*cks I've ever witnessed in action.
I think Chong stepped in it, big time.
I guess she's not aware of what has unfolded in her own party's backrooms. Why she would say that Coquitlam First should release is beyond me. She doesnt seem to realize just who Bonney and Teixeira are protecting.
And it ain't Kingsbury and connections to casinos, believe me.
It isnt rocket science that Kingsbury would have a "friendly" relationship with the casino business. Who brought the casino to Coquitlam anyway.
This is about prvincial Liberal backroomers purposefully fanning out to get local candidates pliable to their party elected.
And it appears they are ready to go to great lengths to cover up how they tried to do it.
And there's more.
Not only are these backroomers satisfied with just jumping into the civic campaign.
They're interfering in student elections at universities too. Maybe these clowns might want to focus on the provincial scene. They didn't lose 30 seats for nothing. Take the hot economy out of the mix, and Carole James would already be Premier.

Does Dave Ginter need a bloody diagram?!

The panelists have this wrong. This isnt a youth issue.
This is above all a party issue. Teixeira was simply begging for the youth's help with an online poll.
