'Allo 'Allo!

Our astute readers will already be familiar with the cast of characters labouring at the Rockpile for the provincial New Democrats. But who's that we see acting as a policy director in the off-Broadway production that is the Opposition's Vancouver caucus office? Why it's none other than former Vision Vancouver campaign manager Ian Reid, who is best remembered for his performance as the executive director of research and strategic planning for the New Democrats when they were in government. Failed election candidate Gabriel Yiu is working as an outreach officer in the same office, which also houses constituency office support officer Cate Jones. Others toiling there include communications officers Neera Ritcey and Siew Oo. Ms. Ritcey was Surrey-Panorama Ridge MLA Jagrup Brar's constituency assistant and Ms. Oo will be recognizable to Canadian Broadcasting Corp. listeners as having been the network's Richmond correspondent.

Well now we know that the NDP is going to LOSE the next election.

But it's good to have Gabriel Yu there directing outreach to crickets.

The NDP must be happy on the Opposition benches, they will be staying there for a long time.

I'm suprised caucus are allowing Carole/Perry to get away with these hires.

Nice to see more Carole/Perry Sycophants being hired to continue this train wreck known as the NDP Opposition.

Considering that the official opposition went from 3 to 30+ in one election I don't follow the thought that they are all going to hell in a hand basket. Some folks with right leaning ideas might think that. There are some left of center folks that complain as well but that's the nature of the beast.

My God, check out some of the brains Gordo has on staff, or for that matter on the liberal side of the house.

People make up negative stuff just hoping others will believe it; They even hire firms to do polls slanted to repeat it... hoping that said often enough loud enough it might come true. It is a shouting match with no content.

Follow what you believe and speak up for it and don't let the bluster of the radical right that is in power (in Ottawa mostly) stop you from believing that moderate minded people can hear the truth if you speak up calmly and clearly.

Boy oh, boy... Gabriel Yu. That spells TROUBLE for him and his rants as a talkshow host on the Chinese radio station AM 1320. We can now say that he is the propaganda machine for the NDP to try to lure more Chinese voters to vote NDP next time. One for sure is that the Chinese voters swore that they would never ever vote NDP. They still remember the 90's and the word "Liberal" sounds more pleasant in Chinese than the NDP Chinese translation. No wonder why Gabriel Yu showed up at PNE for Chinese New Year- hoping he'll be able to win a seat in 2009. He's a sore loser for sure.
