The high and soon to be mighty?

Yesterday was the last chance for would-be Non-Partisan Association directors to submit biographical information for inclusion in the candidate package being mailed out to the civic party's members. According to our operatives, 11 hopefuls met that deadline including: Piper Designs Inc. principal Cindy Chan Piper, an architect and urban planner; Chinatown Lion's Club president Glen Cho; RE/MAX Select Properties Inc. realtor Kilby Gibson, the wife of citizens' assembly architect Gordon Gibson; Partnerships British Columbia communications director Mina Laudan; Reputations Corp. senior consultant Allen Langdon and Royal LePage Ltd. realtor Armida McDougall. Incumbent candidates Donald Leung and Joost Bakker also submitted their bios.

wow lots of strong federal liberals here with good credentials. Guess the neo-con power trio of MacClanaghan, Tsakumis and Dekovic have different ideas brewing. hmmmmmm this could not be happening if they did not permit it to happen. will be very interesting.

Maybe I'm naive, but I find it rather inappropriate that the communications director for a provincial crown corporation is vying for a seat on the board of a municipal political party. Do Minda Laudan's bosses know about this, or are they even more naive than I am and really believe that the "Non-Partisan Association" is actually "non-partisan"?

No, actually, you're very naieve...you openly list the Vancouver Center NDP and Tim Stevenson as "hosted" sites on your own site...and you still apparently feel that anything you say about the NPA is fair comment?!

At worst, if Laudan is in a conflict, so are you. At best, she and the rest of the world understands that the NPA are no more or less a farm team for one party in Victoria and two in Ottawa, than you and VV and COPE are for the NDP. We like to mix it up a bit. Your continuity since right after Tommy Douglas has bred the likes of Svend the "Ringbearer", and Jack Laydown. Socialism, or anything remotely similar, is for morons.

I guess it's okay for NDPers, you idiots are open about it.

Why don't you crawl back to wherever it is you creeped out from under? And next time you post on this blog try and be intelligent. Stretch, you can do it for a few seconds, I'm sure.
