Earlier, one of our astute readers reported federal Conservative godfather John Reynolds (who is not a lawyer) would be "joining Lyall Knott" - a well-known provincial Liberal fundraiser - at Clark Wilson LLP. A senior Tory operative couldn't immediately verify that report. But he did say Mr. Reynolds has received job offers from a number of Vancouver law firms. In a brief interview with Public Eye, Mr. Knott declined to comment on whether he would be working with Mr. Reynolds, saying "Why don't you talk to John?" The company's more notable clients include Concert Properties Ltd., HMY Airlines Inc., HSBC Bank plc, Methanex Corp. and Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment Corp.

God forbid that John Reynolds would not adhere in spirit to the new Accountability act that will be passed by the new Conservative government forbidding former staffers and MP's from lobbying government.

You know, I never trusted those guys - but seeing that Montreal backroom-boy who got a senate seat, and is in charge of doling out government contracts really shocked me.
The guy was your leadership and campaign chair - and now (without any elected offical allowed to question him) he is doling out all the government largesse!?!?
That is sick.
We don't even know the details of this and we're already condemning him, and by association the Prime Minister? Let's wait until the facts are out before we feign outrage.
