From manager to director in less than a week!

As has been noted by a number of our readers, rumours are afoot that mayoral nomination candidate Christy Clark's campaign manager Mike Hillman will be hired by the Non-Partisan Association. But, according to our operatives, that hiring decision has not yet been made. The Non-Partisan Association's campaign committee is meeting tomorrow morning to discuss the issue. And, if committee members are amenable, the association will invite Mr. Hillman to become its campaign director. Greg Wilson will remain the association's campaign manager.

Wilson will be marginalized the point of no return. He and his sorry ass should be thankful that either of the other two candidates didn't make it as Campaign Director: Allen Langdon or Doug Leung. Both of them know the "whackjob" as he is affectionately referred to in federal/provincial Liberal and NPA circles, and what kind of organizational voodoo he has inlficted the NPA campaign with.

Greg Wilson will be campaign manager in name only. Otherwise all else goes to Mike Hillman. I think they're going to give Greg a box of cookies and ask him to count them, put them back in the box, count them, put them back in the box, count them, put them back in the box.....

Greg is a kind individual and a highly competent campaigner with a sharp policy mind. His substaintial interpersonal skills, love on candidates and political insights have single handedly made the NPA competative for November. The NPA is lucky to have him. It is so very nice to see such a happy bunch of pals working together to make the city of Vancouver a better place.

Greg is a scoundrel who will be off to the political iron maiden by noon tomorrow!!!!!!

Nice work "Alex" saying one thing and knowing another.

I'd love to help you with your wardrobe, but my tailor's dead.

Maybe you should chat to the real "Alex". You might learn something...and be better turned out.

Maybe we could return to some sanity please.

Greg Wilson has never been an asset to any campaign he has every worked on. He has no personal skills and is over rated at anything else. Ask Senator Jaffer or Hedy Fry or even Geoff Plant!

Any asset to the NPA? Puuuleeze! The guy has single handedly screwed up their campaign. Missed deadlines and a litany of excuses. And of of course all the gossip money can sell (thin about it for a minute)

One candidate had to threaten him with legal action just to get him to shut his trap.

Whackjob doesn't even begin to cover it. Any one of us that have worked with him federally know the guy. Great to organize a meeting but can't keep his mouth shut and does not offer much else. He's a bumble bee, always buzzing around looking like he's doing something, when in fact all he's doing is making noise.

one word about how much right wing organizers respect each other and the resulting impact of that reality on their electoral hopes

sweet

I think the problem is that Mr Wilson is NOT a right wing organizer, being president of Gregor Robertson's fan club and all.
