Jordan Bateman is reporting he heard a "rumour from a reliable source today that (failed Non-Partisan Association mayoral nomination candidate) Christy Clark has accepted a spot on the Sam Sullivan election strategy team." That rumour has been floating since Ms. Clark showed up Tuesday morning at the civic party's Terrace Place election offices for a campaign committee meeting. Our operatives understand that the former provincial cabinet minister will be regularly attending future meetings.
Christy is a class act.
If I were SS I wouldn't let CC anywhere near his wheels.
Are you reading this Metcalfe?
If CC starts hangin' around..you personally should be starting up Sam's wheels for him and tasting his freedom fries, and if she says she wants to have a private moment with him..put a guard at the top of all stairways and steep inclines.
With her helping the NPA candidate, the Visions vancouver Jim Green can go nowhere but up in the polls. The woman wants a high profile job and working for a city candidate won't get her there. Maybe she figures the NPA candidiate might be unwell some day and she can rush right in and take over. Just like an understudy in some movie
This may be the only way she can save face. CC otherwise would be a failed mayoral candidate, she will have to position herself as someone who cares for Vancouver. Now the real question is in which riding will she run federally? She can't win in the East Van, and the rest our hard knocks or still stars. Could HEdy be on the chopping block from the MM engine.

Hedy is already nominated in Vancouver Centre. And all MP's are protected from any nomination. Christy wouldn't run federally, unless she moved to Ottawa Centre back to her old apartment within walking distance of Parliament Hill. Flights between Ottawa and Vancouver and around the country not possible with little one.
Well, we're running out of options for CC + MM. The limelight is fleeting. I guess she'll have to take up the NW job, to tide her over.
Svend is sniffing around Van Center MP position as well and Hedy could be "bribed" with a big appointment if Christy wanted to run there.
I agree, it's Federal Vancouver Centre for the House of Clark-Marrissen, ... all one million dollars worth. I'll bet in a few years they'll be telling people at the Board of Trade lunchs how the neighbours in Port Moody were civilized enough, but God, ... Port Moody!?! We could NEVER go back, ... for anything!
Unfortunately for Hedy the Senate seats are spoken for. I don't suppose she might be Iona Campagnola's successor as L-G? {When is Iona's term up, anyway? I would kind of like to see Rick Hansen in that position.} Or maybe an ambassadorial post, ... isn't the Netherlands open, or did they fill that when they yanked Gagliano?
One neat angle is that Marrissen can take part in the backroom wheeling and dealing that will engineer Hedy out, therefore Christ in as the Federal Liberal to run against Svend Robinson in what will surely be one of the top ten "ridings to watch" across Canada in the next Federal Election.
Well, on second thought, ... that's assuming that the Federal Liberals haven't significantly reduced Marrissen's stock now that he came up short in the NPA sweepstakes. Maybe Mark will be on the outside looking in, for the first time ever?
