Cause and effect?

Earlier this week, it was reported that government healthcare service contractor Maximus BC Health Inc.'s president Richard Mason resigned following revelations his company had been penalized for failing to meet customer service commitments. Ironically, just before his departure, Maximus employees had been sent a survey, which included questions about the company's leadership. The following is a copy of that survey, which was leaked to Public Eye.

I find it unfortunate that your readers spend a lot of space arguing some things and seem to ignore the system that allows their medical information to be handled by a US company. Oh sure the office is here out in Central Saanich and one over in Vancouver but do we really believe the daba base isn't somewhere down south. The folks screamed bloody murder when the previous government set up a system, here in BC to track multiple prescriptions from multiple doctors which could be harmful to the patient. Another cry went up when that government used generic drugs, but still allowed the doctors to use the more expensive ones if the patient had problems. Wake up BC bloggers and see what's happening to the medialc system in this province. Or is it easier to write notes on who got shifted by this New Era group. Maximus was fined, by how much we will never know three times, before the CEO left the job, to be replaced by a US guy.

You're right DL, recently this site has turned more into a legislative scorecard of who's going where and doing who, rather than a website based on hard hitting journalism, of the kind that got the originator of this site all sorts of plaudits and laurels for an excellent job done on the story (The Walls affair). You'll notice post election DL that several of the regular contributors have moved on from here, to various other blogs and websites. Whereas I used to check this site out daily, DL, now if I'm here once every 2 weeks, it's a miracle.
