Teaser trailer?

Just in time for the November civic elections comes this could-be bombshell: in an email, sex trade activist and potential Non-Partisan Association parks board candidate Jamie Lee Hamilton confirmed a tell-all book about her life will be published by Toronto-based Cormorant Books Inc. this September. Entitled She's No Lady: The Story of Jamie Hamilton, the biography - written by Barbara Daniel was originally scheduled to hit bookshelves last October. Ms. Hamilton then mysteriously added she knows of "one politician who is shaking in his boots" about material that may or may not be in the book. A version of this article was originally published in today's edition of 24 hours.

It won't be a Liberal who's shaking in his boots. Jamie knows better than to piss on the party carpet.

I wouldn't necessarily classify Jamie Lee Hamilton as a staunch Liberal. Jamie Lee did back Lynne Kennedy's bid to win the Liberal nomination in Vancouver Centre from Hedy Fry -- and then went on to back Liberal Candidate Shirley Chan in Vancouver East in 2004. That being said, this is the same Jamie Lee Hamilton who was the Green Party candidate in Vancouver Centre in 2000.

Jamie Lee Hamilton is nobody's baby, and doesn't take marching orders from anyone -- including the elitist Liberal backroom boys.

My gut tells me that She's No Lady will provide some insight on diVISION Vancouver's Jim Green. Afterall, Green is indeed a Poverty Pimp -- whereas Hamilton is the Diva of the Downtown Eastside.

Jamie Lee Hamilton is, well, a charachter, take a look at her history of postings on the website rabble.ca/babble. While a run from her would be quite entertaining, history indicates that it would tend to avoid any and all poicy issues and be based upon personal gossip and ridiculous accusations. To claim that Green is a "Poverty Pimp" (a Lorne Mayencourt classic, btw), and that she's the "Diva of the Downtown Eastside" is nothing but a strange (and incorrect) opinion that many on the right have with regards to their favourite, failed, east-side politicians. Yet often these things are based on nothing but innuendo and hersay, which is ironic considering how her previous history with her blog, and on various websites indicate that she's willing, ready and able to get into the hearsay and innuendo.

So where is this book?

Another tall tale from Jamie Lee.
