The more things change

David Perry, the provincial New Democrat's interim chief of staff, has been appointed to that post on a more permanent basis - this, according to our ears and eyeballs inside causus. That position may, according to the same insiders, include responsibilities that would have usually been assigned to the caucus's executive director. When asked about rumours of that appointment last week, Mr. Perry declined comment.

So much for open and accountable opposition.

Huh Sean and Guy? Call me confused here, but Carole James has asked the most talented, moderate and reasonable political staffperson to work in the rock pile in the past ten years to be her chief of staff and you postulate something sinister. Slow news weekend I suppose.

Let me be the first to post here that I think this is great news for Carole and the NDP that Mr. Perry has chosen to stay with her team - if the rumours are true. My ears to the ground in Victoria tell me that a man of his talent, he had many other options.

It has started to happen, the disgusting push of the big unions greedily, gorging themselves at the public trough. This is what Carole and her commie hordes will continue to do. Look for the NDP to start falling apart and threr true colors to fly as they go after anything of value in there greedy pockets.

Huh? What is conformer talking about? David Perry is an immensely talented person. Carole could find no better person to do the job.

You are a troll, conformer.

I'm not a fan of the NDP or Ms. James, but holding on to Perry would count as the smartest move she's made so far. He doesn't hate business, doesn't kiss union butt, and - despite his impeccable socialist pedigree - seems to be logical and reasonable. If this is true, congrats to all who convinced him to stay on.
