Shocker: Kevin Falcon is our long lost cousin

Evidently, Public Eye is a conservative mouthpiece - at least according to former New Democrat cabinet minister Moe Sihota. The November/December edition of the socialist The Lower Island News reports that, during a speech discussing the media's right-wing bias, Mr. Sihota pointed out "columns by Paul Ramsay (sic) and Adrian Dix (in the Times Colonist) have been pushed aside for Shaun Coleman (sic) and Mark Milke as the May 2005 election approaches." Who knew we were related to the solicitor general?

Well, I don't much like your Times Colonist work but considerring Ramsey is chairing the NDP's policy platform committee and Adrian Dix is an NDP candidate the Times Colonist is probably on the right track.

Moe Sihota is classic, only he would not see the problems with those two writing columns

Moe hasn't had to defend anything he says for quite some time now. Pretty lucky chap, eh? Now, Sean -- do you ever have to defend what you say?

Curious....

I think M-M-M-Moe likes to hear himself talk.

So Sean, which is it - left, right, or do you pull a Vaughn Palmer and not vote? Regardless, to be classed with Milke is a compliment. I think Milke's 'Barbarians at the Garden City' should be standard issue in BC. It may just save us all from another disastrous term (or two)of NDP governing.

I've always wondered about Mark Milke. Namely, how come he is no longer president of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, and why, if he still holds to his old CTF days beliefs, does he not come out and openly criticize the government for the implementation of so called "user fees" and increases in fees for such things as licensing, registration, and the like?

Moe may have jumped the gun a bit on his take that the Times COLONist is already showing their slant by publishing Milke and Sean's columns, over Adrian Dix and Paul Ramsey. But at the end of the day, Canworst Gliberal is the Liberal's squawkbox after all, other than sometimes Palmer and Michael Smyth criticisms of El Gordo's travelling circus routines. I love watching the BCTV MORON err Morning News, to listen to the political pontifications of Zack Spencer, who knows more about test driving lemons than politics, or watching Steve Darling acting like a kid sneaking his first peek at Playboy whenever Gordo comes on to BC Liberal TV to make an exclusive announcement.

By the way, on a totally different tangent. I wonder how much the CanWorst Gliberal chain of media outlets is making off Liberal Governments partisan political advertising? It'll be interesting to see if during the campaign if the NDP and its friends and supporters can get the same type of media overexposure, as the Liberals have in using our tax money to blow sunshine up our butts.

The Soliciting General?

Sheesh.

And here we were thinking that the Editor was related to Col. Homegrown and that guy who coaches the Seattle Seahawks.

I lean a little left of center and I love Milke... if everyone on the right thought before they spoke like him, this place would all the more better.

and I thought some more before typing, that above post would have made more sense :)

Well, they say there's no such thing as bad coverage as long they spell your name right.

Shaun Coleman.

"watching Steve Darling acting like a kid sneaking his first peek at Playboy whenever Gordo comes on to BC Liberal TV to make an exclusive announcement."

Whoa, I'm no fan of Canwest but that's pretty harsh. You have to remember that the 3,000 pound pencil of TV is pretty much captive to the production of exclusive images. The medium is inherently vulnerable to this kind of manipulation.

I find Mark Milke's editorials in the TC to consistently show his bias against organized labour, progressive politics and atheism, of all things. I remember an editorial in the TC around Christmas where he railed against those with no religion as living short, brutal and empty lives. But what else can one expect from Asper's CanWest?
