It's unofficial! CH Television news anchor Hudson Mack is leaving the Victoria station to become the talking head/news director for The New VI. Mr. Mack will be discussing his depature for browner pastures at 3:00 with Shaw TV uber-reporter/host Stephen Andrew, who is filling in for Terry Moore on CFAX.

well there goes the "NEW" VI's innovative and fresh approach to news programming. Would not watch CH and will not watch VI (now).

The New VI's innovative approach isn't working. Their target audience doesn't give a damn about news. Hudson will attract an older audience. CH is stagnate. Even under new management it's still stagnant. Hudson deserves a good break and a good paycheque for a change. Go get 'em Huddy!

I enjoyed the New VI when they had Moe, Norm and Pia discussing politics with their divergent views. I left when they left and hiring Hudson Mack won't bring me back. I wrote to the New VI at the time to express my disappointment in their decision and received a reply advising new programming was coming in Oct. That was in July. By Oct., I may have found another channel to view.

The best thing Hudson Mack can do is re-hire Trina Maus, she was well liked in the community. And bring back VI Voices.

If you must bring the stagnant CH anchor over to the VI, have him remain in the background and bring back Moe and Spector.
